It is also the reference that best explains her approach to watches, since a 36mm two-tone Datejust is the least attention-seeking watch a global star could pick. She wore it through the Spider-Man press run, including photocalls where the outfit was doing all of the shouting.

This is the most valuable watch she has been photographed wearing, and it is only 28mm across. The 279459RBR is the Lady-Datejust in solid 18k white gold with a factory diamond bezel, and her example goes further with a pavé diamond dial and diamond-set bracelet, which is where the market value climbs past six figures. Inside is the Caliber 2236 with the Syloxi silicon hairspring, a movement Rolex developed specifically for its smaller cases. The 52508 is the 18k yellow gold version with a white lacquer dial, and the gold Settimo bracelet configuration is the harder one to find and the one that carries the premium.
