+The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chronograph 5500V/110A-B148 is the third-generation Overseas chronograph, and the blue dial is the version collectors chase. This distinguished timepiece features a 42.5mm stainless steel case measuring 13.7mm thick, framed by the Overseas signature Maltese cross bezel, water-resistant to 150 meters with screw-down crown and pushers. The captivating translucent blue lacquered dial has a sunburst finish that shifts dramatically with the light, set with applied polished white gold index hour markers filled with luminescent material, recessed sub-dials in a fine concentric pattern, and a date aperture between 4 and 5 o'clock. Powered by the in-house Caliber 5200, a self-winding column-wheel chronograph with a vertical clutch, built from 263 parts with 54 jewels and beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, it delivers a 52-hour power reserve alongside small seconds at 9, a 30-minute counter at 3, and a 12-hour counter at 6. A transparent sapphire crystal case back reveals the movement and its 22K gold oscillating weight decorated with a wind rose motif, and the movement carries the Hallmark of Geneva. A blue rubber strap with the Overseas tread pattern completes the watch, secured by a steel folding clasp and swapping tool-free thanks to Vacheron Constantin's interchangeable system. Sporty on rubber and dressy on leather, the Overseas Chronograph 5500V/110A-B148 remains one of the strongest alternatives to a Daytona or a Royal Oak Offshore.
