Terence Crawford Speaks on Investment Watches

Robertson Altieri, CEO of WatchGuys, had the privilege to sit down for an exclusive interview with pound-for-pound king Terence Crawford ahead of his September 13th fight with Canelo Alvarez. Many say this is the fight of the decade, with 70,000 in attendance and is expected to break the record of 60 millions views live on Netflix.
Crawford is a man who invests wisely, often buying real estate, but he also sees watches as investments.
“You can buy watches for $30,000 and then ten years later that watch [is] $100,000,” Crawford explained.
Terence Crawfords Watch Collection
He had a good collection over the years, including his first Rolex watch that retailed for $130,000 and was likely an off-catalog piece. That was among many items stolen from his Omaha home back in 2023.
Since his home burglary, Crawford does not wear watches or jewelry often. But he still maintains a modest collection of timepieces.
“I got a few Rolexes, a Patek, I got [an] AP,” he said when asked what his current collection looks like.
He has also been spotted wearing a 18k yellow gold Rolex Yachtmaster (ref. 226658) on Oysterflex. Most recently, he wore a Ulysses Nardin Blast Free Wheel Maillechort to his face off with Canelo. This piece is especially noteworthy, as it is limited edition, features a German silver dial, and carries a retail price around $126,000.
Crawfords Favorite Watch and Future
Crawford revealed that he is a fan of Patek Philippe, his current favorite model being the Aquanaut Luce Rainbow (ref. 5260/1455R-001). This piece reflects his affinity for bling, a rose gold watch covered in diamonds and multi-colored sapphires.
We, at WatchGuys—confident in Terence’s ability to beat Canelo—added to Bud’s collection with a custom Rolex Submariner (ref. 126610LN). Though he revealed that he already had this Rolex model in his collection, this black dial Submariner is unlike any other. It features “42-0” engraved on the case back and has a value around $15,000.
