How To Find The Value of Your Rolex Submariner

If you’re considering selling your Rolex watch or looking to find the value of your Rolex Submariner watch, there are a few key factors to consider. At WatchGuys we want to help you sell your Rolex watch for the best price and will educate you on how to get a fair market price and what to look for.

A pre-owned Rolex watch buyer like WatchGuys will need a few important factors to help determine an accurate price for your used Rolex watch and explain how to sell your Rolex watch for the most money.

Key Factors That Affect Value

The most important factors that affect the secondhand selling price of your watch is the model number, serial number, condition, age and whether you have in your possession the original box and paperwork (we will buy your Rolex with or without the box and paperwork).

How To Find My Rolex Submariner Model / Reference Number

To find the model number it will be located between the lugs at 12 o’clock where the watch case and bracelet meet. To find this model number, you will need to safely remove the watch pins at the 12 o'clock of the watches case.

To do this, you will need a watch tool or a stronng pin to help you remove the pins from each side. The watches model number will be revealed once the bracelet is removed at the 12 o'clock. Be careful when removing the pins of the bracelet to ensure you do not deeply scratch the watches case.

How To Find My Rolex Submariner Serial Number

The serial number for your Rolex will be found on the opposite side at 6 o’clock. To find your Rolex Submariner serial number, you will also need to remove the watches bracelet, but this time at the 6 o'clock.

Newer Rolex watches (post 2010-2015 in most cases) will have the serial number on the inside of the case between the glass and the face of the watch. This is called a "serial engraved" model.

The model number and serial number are the most important factors in determining the year, material used, and identify of your Rolex watch movement.

Can I Sell My Rolex Submariner Without Box and Papers?

Yes, it's possible to sell a Rolex Submariner without the original box and papers, although having them can increase the watch's value.
