Is Rolex Releasing a "Tridor" Daytona?

Is Rolex Releasing a "Tridor" Daytona?

Watch enthusiasts love a good mystery, and the latest buzz involves none other than singer Michael Bublé, and a very special Rolex on his wrist.

Recently, eagle-eyed fans noticed Bublé sporting what appeared to be an unreleased Rolex Cosmograph Daytona in the teaser for his mini documentary with Rolex.

In a screen-grab, the watch on Bublé wrist does not match any model in the current catalog, as a Daytona with a multi-colored oyster bracelet.

This fueled rumors that Rolex may have quietly teased a new Daytona variant, possibly a modern revival of the legendary “Tridor” concept.

In this blog, we will break down the rumor, delve into the history of the Rolex Tridor, and estimate it's market value.

How Much is My Rolex Worth?

What is a Tridor Rolex?

Before getting into the rumored Daytona, we must break down what exactly a "Tridor" Rolex is.

This rare bracelet from the 80s was seen only on a few Datejust or Day-Date models, using three shades of gold (yellow, white, and rose) fused into one bracelet.

It was subtle, elegant, and incredibly complex to produce, with an extremely limited run.

Vintage Tridor models are hard to come by, selling for anywhere between $15,000 to $25,000!

The Tridor was discontinued in the 1990s and never seen on a Daytona — until now, perhaps.

"Tridor" Daytona Market Value

If true, this would mark the first time Rolex brought Tridor styling to the Daytona line, mixing bold visuals, high-end gems, and racing pedigree in one extremely rare timepiece.

The Tridor on Buble’s wrist has a black dial and would feature a white-gold case with a tri-colored gold oyster bracelet.

New Rolex releases are always extremely limited, especially for off-catalog pieces. They always see an immediate high price market value, with similar Le Mans models reselling from $250,000 to $300,000.

Should the Tridor Daytona be real, only the most exclusive VIP buyers are likely to be offered it.

We can expect it to have a market value from $300,000 to $400,000!

Is the "Tridor" Daytona Real?

More evidence has come out to debunk the rumor of the Tridor Daytona.

It would appear that Buble’s Daytona is actually a black dial 126529LN. It was likely colored strangely by the stage lighting, giving it the appearance of a Tridor bracelet.

However, no official statement has come out regarding this rumor.

Only time will tell if Rolex has released a Tridor Daytona.

But one thing’s for sure: the buzz around this rumored Daytona — whether Tridor, Le Mans, or both — has stirred up the watch world.

It’s a reminder that whatever Rolex does, the whole watch-collecting community is watching closely.
