Terence Crawford Speaks on Investment Watches
Robertino Altieri, CEO of WatchGuys, had the privilege to sit down for an exclusive interview with pound-for-pound king Terence Crawford ahead of his September 13 fight with Canelo Alvarez. Many are calling it the fight of the decade, with 70,000 expected in attendance and projections that it could break records with 60 million live views on Netflix.
Crawford is a man who invests wisely, often buying real estate, but he also sees watches as investments.
“You can buy watches for $30,000 and then ten years later that watch is $100,000,” Crawford explained.

Terence Crawford’s Watch Collection
Over the years, he has built a strong collection, including his first Rolex, which retailed for $130,000 and was likely an off-catalog piece. That watch was among many valuables stolen from his Omaha home in 2023.
Since the burglary, Crawford does not wear watches or jewelry often. Still, he maintains a modest lineup of timepieces.
“I got a few Rolexes, a Patek, I got an AP,” he said when asked what his current collection looks like.
He has also been spotted wearing an 18k yellow gold Rolex Yacht-Master (ref. 226658) on Oysterflex. More recently, he wore a Ulysse Nardin Blast Free Wheel Maillechort to his faceoff with Canelo. This limited edition piece features a German silver dial and carries a retail price around $126,000.

Crawford’s Favorite Watch and What’s Next
Crawford revealed that he is a fan of Patek Philippe, with his current favorite model being the Aquanaut Luce Rainbow (ref. 5260/1455R-001). The rose gold case is set with diamonds and multi-colored sapphires, reflecting his affinity for bold statement pieces.
Confident in Terence’s ability to beat Canelo, WatchGuys added to Bud’s collection with a custom Rolex Submariner (ref. 126610LN). While he mentioned he already owns this reference, this black dial Submariner is unlike any other, featuring “42-0” engraved on the caseback and carrying a value around $15,000.
